Global attributes
The classattribute in HTML is a powerful tool used to assign one or more names to an HTML element, allowing developers to apply styles or behaviors to groups of elements with ease. When elements are associated with a classname, developers can efficiently select and manipulate these elements using CSSfor styling or JavaScript for dynamic interaction.
While there are no strict rules governing classnaming conventions, Best practices encourage semantic naming to ensure that classnames describe the role or purpose of the element rather than its visual presentation. Semantic names support maintainability, as they keep logical meaning even if the page’s design changes. The classattribute thus serves as a foundational feature in creating structured, reusable, and manageable web content.
