Introduction to <script>tag

The <script>tag in HTML is a powerful element used to embed or reference JavaScript code directly within a webpage. JavaScript is a versatile programming language that allows developers to create dynamic, interactive, and responsive user experiences. The <script>tag enables web pages to incorporate scripts that can manipulate the Document Object Model (DOM), handle events, validate forms, make asynchronous requests to servers, and much more.

<!-- Script Example -->
    <script class="custom-script">
      document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() {
        console.log("Hello, World!");
      });
    </script>

/* Style for script tags with the class 'custom-script' */
    script.custom-script {
        /* Visual styling properties (Note: script tags don't render content, so styles will not affect display) */
        display: block; /* Ensure it occupies a block space */
        margin: 10px 0; /* Add some margin for spacing */
        padding: 5px; /* Add padding for visual clarity */
        background-color: #f4f4f4; /* Light background color for visualization */
        border: 1px solid #ddd; /* Border to outline the script block */
        font-family: monospace; /* Monospace font for code-like appearance */
        color: #333; /* Dark color for text */
    }

    /* Example: Adding hover effects (for demonstration purposes) */
    script.custom-script:hover {
        background-color: #e0e0e0; /* Slightly darker background on hover */
        border-color: #ccc; /* Lighter border on hover */
    }
